The Geoff Brown Fund
Raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of Geoff
Geoff was a kind, caring, generous and dedicated family man with a larger than life personality and a fantastic sense of humour.
He massively enjoyed his life, spending time with his wife of many years, his 3 children and 5 grandchildren all of whom he was very proud of. Not forgetting his dog rolo who was a constant and faithful companion.
Life couldn't get any better for Geoff, when suddenly in early November 2018 he became unwell, slurring his words, confused and unsteady on his feet. After visiting A&E and having multiple tests and scans it was confirmed that Geoff has glioblastoma grade 4, a very aggressive brain tumour in the front of his brain. Geoff had surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible and the plan was to then start radiotherapy to tackle the remaining tumour with a prognosis of 12 months.
Unfortunately however Geoff started to deteriorate very quickly and sadly passed away at home surrounded by his family on 17th December 2018 aged 55. Within just 6 weeks of first going to A&E and 3 days before he was due to start radiotherapy.
As his family we have been left absolutely shocked, devastated and truly heartbroken that such a strong, kind, opinionated and much loved member of our family has been taken from us so quickly especially with him not having any symptoms before being admitted to hospital.
With The Geoff Brown Fund we aim to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity to help further research on this cruel and unforgiving disease so that other people do not have to endure the same painful ordeal that ourselves and Geoff experienced. We also want to keep Geoff's memory alive as he was a huge character who has been taken far too soon!
Please help us to achieve this by donating what you can and help us to spread awareness to help others.
